Septic systems are widely used across Southeast Texas, so it's important to hire an inspector who is able to fully assess them as a part of a home inspection package. Septic system issues can cause major sanitary concerns and small issues can easily transform into major repairs. We will inspect for functional flow of effluent through the system, physical damage, proper installation, proper function of mechanical components such as aerators and ejector pumps, and measure the solid waste level to determine whether the tank needs to be pumped. 

Like septic systems, water wells are very common in rural Southeast Texas. In fact, more than 43 million people across the U.S. rely on water wells for their household water supply. Having your water well inspected by a professional is crucial to protecting your biggest investment. We'll check the visible and accessible components for leaks and proper operation during the inspection. 

Having your well water tested is a CRUCIAL part of maintaining a healthy home. If you are purchasing a home with a water well, it is highly recommended that you have the water tested before purchasing, as well as yearly after the purchase. Our standard water quality test package includes testing for total coliform bacteria, lead, nitrates, and nitrites. Water samples are collected from the well and delivered to the lab at the Sabine River Authority of Texas. Addtitional tests are available upon request. Your lender may require specific tests in order to process your loan, so please check with your lender before ordering a water quality test. 

Are you looking at a property with extra buildings? Don't worry, we can inspect those as well! Outbuildings are inspected to the same standard as the home. Prices for outbuilding inspections will vary based on the size and contents of the building. For example, a simple metal shop will be cheaper than a detached Mother-in-Law living space.
